DESCRIPTION OF AWARD:

The award will be made to a candidate who:

• is enrolled full time in any field of study in a post‐secondary institution
• shows above average academic skills
• demonstrates leadership and community involvement and
• is of Ukrainian heritage

CRITERIA:

 Candidates must meet the following criteria:  

1. be a citizen of Canada, or landed immigrant, and a resident of Niagara Region, though the student may attend an educational institution outside of Ontario
2. be enrolled in full time post‐secondary studies at an accredited university or college
3. have completed their prior year’s studies with a minimum overall average of 80% (transcripts of marks are required)
4. he/she must demonstrate participation in either the Ukrainian community or the local community‐at‐large
5. must provide Letters of Reference from the learning institution and community organization(s)

 CHECK LIST:

Candidates must enclose the following, as a minimum:  

• Official academic transcript of last year’s marks
• Proof of full-time enrollment in the institution’s current year
• Letter(s) of reference
